Hosted at an Agency in Manhattan, you’ll spend 3 1/2 hours working through this interactive training session. Be sure to bring your capabilities materials and be ready to be put to work.

Creating an effective capabilities presentation converts more business. And this workshop is about converting business.

You will begin by working through the latest best practices for positioning an agency – and effectively communicating that message in the form of a capabilities presentation.

We’ll continue through the Mirren approach, which places a direct focus on communicating the business value you create for clients. If the benefit of your work is not punching through, your impact will be minimal at best. And your conversion rate will be low.

You’ll then be put to work on crafting an evolved version of your capabilities. Step-by-step, you will walk through an audit and completely deconstruct your current version. And then, you’ll improve it. Be sure to bring your laptop.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to:


  • Create one core framework that can be quickly customized for each individual prospect

  • Open with a bang and then hold the client the whole way through

  • Position your agency as truly unique by better addressing the client’s business (vs. just their brand)

  • Get the client to open up and discuss their core marketing and business challenges

  • Turn the “presentation” into a “fully interactive strategic working session"

  • Close in a way the client will not soon forget you

This is an ideal session for agency teams as you work together on creating – and presenting – a new version of your capabilities that converts more business.
