Norman is the Client Services Director at Mirren, a firm that specializes in new business and organic growth training for agencies. Each year, more than 700 firms now participate in Mirren’s annual conferences, training programs and webinars (www.mirren.com).
A 25-year client and agency-side veteran, he specializes in improving the new business performance of mid-size and smaller agencies. He also believes these firms often have a distinct advantage by virtue of being more agile, innovative and effective. He also believes building a new business infrastructure is one of the most exhausting and exciting endeavors in the agency world. However, he has found that a deeper immersion in the client’s business and target audience is the key to converting more business.
Client-side, Norman worked in the tech and retail sectors to lead the modernization of digital marketing platforms. Here, he also orchestrated many reviews, ultimately selecting their roster of agencies. This brings tremendous insight to his new business training.
On the agency-side, he’s held senior roles at Wieden + Kennedy, Publicis, and FCB. In addition to leading global strategy for Nike, he’s been in account management and media on accounts that have included AT&T, T-Mobile, Burger King, Mars, P&G and Microsoft.
