Melissa is the EVP, Managing Director of Digitas Boston and Detroit, and the Head of Account Management for Digitas North America. As head of Account Management across 8 US Digitas offices, Melissa leads a team of over 200, ensuring development and leadership opportunities across the network, including creating new growth programs for Client Leads and building an education initiative to standardize and evolve training programs. She has been at Digitas for 15 years, and currently leads one of the agency’s largest client engagements out of the Boston office.
In addition to her client responsibilities, Melissa is the executive sponsor for Womxn@Digitas, a Business Resource Group focused on retaining and advancing women within the organization. She’s also on both the AdClub and the Women’s Advisory Network’s Board of Directors and is a founding member of the Boston chapter of Chief, as well as being an active contributor to several professional organizations within the Boston community.
During her tenure Melissa has led Digitas to receive numerous accolades: Effies, D&AD, The One Show, AICP, Webbys, ANDYs, FCS Portfolio Awards, Shortys. Digitas was recently recognized by Campaign US as both their Digital Network and Media Network of the Year, and Silver in the Media Agency of the Year category. Under Melissa’s leadership, Digitas Boston earned a Best and Brightest title by NABR, NAFE’s Top Workplaces for Women, and a Rosoff Award for Diversity & Inclusion. In 2018 Melissa was honored with a Folio Top Women in Media Award in the Motivator category.
Melissa started her career in finance, spent time working in marketing for multiple e-commerce businesses during the dotcom boom (and bust), and eventually landed in advertising. She has led multiple Fortune 500 accounts including Microsoft, HP and PayPal. Melissa holds her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont, and an MBA from Babson College. She resides in Hingham, MA with her three sons, two dogs, and one husband.
