Liz is Co-Founder of JUEL, a Search and Talent Consultancy focused on the discipline of marketing. JUEL has a deep understanding of the forces driving new trends and capabilities across the agency landscape, and is frequently called upon by marketers to help identify and select the right agency partners. JUEL has led reviews for airlines, B2B multinationals, consumer services, e-commerce offerings, financial services, QSR, technology and telecommunications to name a few.
JUEL’s agency search practice is informed by the fact that the partners of JUEL have run large agency new business operations at an office level, regionally and globally. There is certainly a right and wrong way to run a pitch and we have experienced both, firsthand. Liz believes there is no single way to structure an agency review, but that a good review always starts with clear objectives and a defined set of decision makers who agree in advance on a set of criteria by which to evaluate an agency. When kicking off a review, the two most important components are the mix of agencies on the short list and the pitch brief. After that, it gets down to conducting a well-run and fair review.
Prior to JUEL, Liz had an agency career, based in both the US and Europe with leading roles in account management and new business. Liz led New Business for Y&R New York, as well as was Chief Marketing Officer for McCann EMEA.
Liz’s thoughts about the marketing and agency business have been widely published in publications such as Advertising Age, AdWeek and Crain’s Business. In addition, Liz has been a keynote speaker at the 4As annual conference on The Future of Talent, and Structuring for Growth.
